Kaspersky v8.0.0.357 Rescue CD

A safe way to remove viruses from a computer without the risk of getting infected. Boot from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk to scan and remove threats from an infected computer without the risk of infecting other files or computers.
This CD was prepared with Bart's PE Builder 3.1.10a. It includes Kaspersky 8.0.0.357 engine, Windows XP SP3 system files and virus definitions dated 02.07.2008.
The Emergency CD loads network drivers, allowing the program to download the latest virus definitions before scanning.

Burn this ISO image to a CD (198 MB), insert it into the infected system's CD-ROM drive, enter the PC's BIOS, set it to boot from the CD and reboot the computer.
Notes:

This CD contains common Bart's stuff:

- Accessories: Wordpad, Calculator, Paint
- System tools: Disk copy (floppy)
- A43 file management utility
- Network configurator: Network access (local + internet)

... and obviously Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, version 8.0.0.37

Kaspersky scans hard drives pretty fast: 12.8 GB of data were scanned in little more than 32 minutes !

During scanning, you might get a popup message "The application you are using is not activated". This happens whenever KAV comes along a locked file, for example "vuescan.dat". Just ignore this warning and close the pop-up. The scanning process is not interrupted and you will still be able to disinfect your machine from any suspicious threads.
